THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO CHOOSING THE PERFECT VENUE

Finding a venue is one of the first but biggests to do’s on your wedding planning tick list. Whether you’ve had a location in your mind for, well, always or you’re scouring the internet for inspiration, there is a lot to consider before you fully commit.

There are three essential things to consider before you say yes. We’ve put together a list featuring our ? favourite venues of 2022 to help you decide and make sure every box is firmly ticked. We’ve been lucky to set up a Viva La Booth at all of the venues mentioned below and so can vouch first hand for their fabulousness.

  1. How big do you want to go?

Some venues are small but perfectly formed for that small wedding, intimate vibe and others are idyllic for the ‘go big’ wedding with a hundred (or so) guests with a big space to fill. [INSERT VENUE NAME e.g. Middleton Lodge] is a perfect all rounder. The botanical beauty has the Garden Pavilion for summer ceremonies and The Fig House is perfect for those cooler weddings with exclusive use of The Main House too. The perfect surroundings for a high-end wedding and reception, no matter how big or small your plans are.

  2. What do you want taken care of?

Depending on the vibe of your wedding, you may think you literally just need a space to do the ceremony and the reception. However, there’s a lot more to consider. Facilities and services such as on-site accommodation, transportation, use of equipment and whether or not the venue has a late bar licence are all very important factors. [INSERT VENUE NAME e.g. Thicket Priory] has got it covered. With 35 bedrooms included in the venue hire, in-house catering and a late licence at weekends, they take a huge planning load off your hands.

  3. The feels.

Hopefully it goes without saying, but make sure you spend time visiting potential venues as a couple. Your gut is a powerful thing, and you should wholeheartedly trust it when you step into the potential setting of the start of your happily ever after. You can see how the venue could look on your wedding day, meet the staff that will serve you and generally see how things go down. And every venue is different. We love [INSERT VENUE NAME e.g. The Barns] for their laid back atmosphere with a luxurious edge. Think festoon lighting, firepits and rustic trestle tables. Not only that, your hire includes Exclusive use of their Yorkshire wedding barns (including both barns) across a three-day period for stress-free set up and take down.

Now all you need to add is a bit of Viva La Fun.

Take a look at our gorgeous open air booths that will add luxury and high-end fun to any venue.
